Devices allow guards to patrol sites and scan checkpoints showing the areas that they have been checking. Devices also allow guards to report any problems or incidents that occur during the patrol they are on.

Editing A Device

  • To edit a device, navigate to Management > Devices.
  • Once here you will see a list of all the devices on your system.
  • Find the device that is going to be edited, to the right of the device you will see an actions button, click this.
  • On the drop-down menu that appears click View.
  • When this page opens there will be two tabs, Device and Map, to the top right corner of the Device tab there is an actions button, click this.
  • Once the drop-down menu appears click Edit.
  • A form will appear on the screen.
  • In this form you can edit the name of the device, IMEI, Phone Number, A description, and which company and site it is assigned to.
  • Once the changes have been made press the save button at the bottom of the form.

Changing A Device IMEI

Changing a Device IMEI is Not Recommended

  • To change a device IMEI, navigate to Management > Devices.
  • Find the device that needs the IMEI changing to the right of the device there will be an actions button, press this.
  • Once the drop-down menu appears press View.
  • When this page opens there will be two tabs, Device and Map, to the top right corner of the Device tab there is an actions button, click this.
  • Once the drop-down menu appears click Edit.
  • A form will appear on the screen.
  • When you have found the IMEI section you will want to delete the old IMEI from the section
  • Then moving to the mobile device with the new IMEI
    • Open the BlueSky Trail App
    • Once you are on the Enter Operative ID Screen you want to find the Device ID towards the bottom of the screen
    • The Device ID will be a string of letters and numbers and will be 16 characters long.
    • This Device ID will need to be made note of so that it can be used next.
  • Now back on the BlueSky Web App, on the form previously mentioned, in place of the old IMEI that was deleted you can now place the new Device ID in the form IMEI Section.
  • Once complete and all edits have been made, press the save button at the bottom of the form.

Deleting A Device

  • To delete a device, navigate to Management > Devices.
  • Find the device that needs to be deleted.
  • To the right of the device there will be an actions button, press this.
  • Once the drop-down menu appears press delete
  • You will then be asked if you want to confirm this, if so, press yes
